The Original Roslin Inn is at the centre of historic Roslin village, just minutes from Roslin chapel itself.

The village itself is also an ideal base for many local tourist attractions and is situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh, some seven miles from Princes Street and is easily accessible from all directions.
If you are travelling from the North you should head for Edinburgh and then proceed in an Easterly direction around the Edinburgh City Bypass (A720).

Similarly if travelling from the West, you should also travel Eastbound around the Edinburgh City Bypass (A720).

If coming from the East or from the South via the A1 you should also join the Edinburgh City Bypass (A720), but travel in a Westerly direction.

Once on the Edinburgh City Bypass you should exit at the Straiton Junction (The exit for IKEA) and travel South for a mile and a half along the A701. You should then turn left at Bilston and travel for a mile along the B8096 until you come to Roslin.

Once in Roslin you should continue along the Main Street until you come to the crossroads, where you will see the Hotel.

If you are travelling from the South via the M6 and M74 you have a couple of choices. You can continue along the M74 until you reach the M8 and then follow the signs for Edinburgh and the directions for those travelling from the East.

Alternatively, you can leave the A74 at Abbington and follow the signs for Edinburgh along the A702. Just before you reach Edinburgh you will pass through the small village of Easter Howgate. There you will find a right turn and a signpost directing you towards Roslin. Follow the signs until you come to Roslin. Once in Roslin, follow the main road until you come to the crossroads, where you will see the Hotel.

We have a small private car park for your vehicle.
